Help bring the holiday spirit to life in our downtown district by registering for this FREE community decorating event!
Individuals, families, businesses, schools, and organizations are invited to decorate fence panels on Main Street with festive holiday designs.
Your creativity will help transform downtown into a festive winter wonderland for all to enjoy!
Event Details:
- Registration: Free for individuals and nonprofits.
Businesses and organizations may include branded or promotional content for a nominal fee of $25, payable at registration.
(Please note: No political campaign materials or offensive content will be permitted.)
- Decorating Dates:
Panels will be available for decoration from Saturday, November 15 through Sunday, November 30. All decorations must be completed by Sunday, November 30 at 10pm.
- Lighting Ceremony:
Decorations will be featured as part of the Yuletide on Baldwin on Friday, December 5 when the town comes alive with lights, music, and community celebration!
- Take-Down Period:
Decorations must be removed between December 26 and January 11. Any remaining decorations after this date will be discarded.
- Fence Dimensions: Each registration is for the decoration of (2) 8' fence panels. Individuals and businesses may register twice - for a total decorating space of 32'.
Rules & Guidelines:
- All decorations must be family-friendly and in the spirit of the holiday season.
- One 110v outlet will be provided for each registrant area.
- Decorations should be primarily made of lights and be weather-resistant and safe for outdoor public display (No banners).
- No political campaign content or offensive imagery/language will be permitted.
- Businesses may include a small logo or name display with decorations (with donation).
- All decorations must be affixed to the fence and not protrude into the sidewalk area.
- Decorations must be securely tied with zip ties or string only.
- No wire, tape, glue, or other adhesives are permitted.
People’s Choice Award
Members of the community and visitors to Downtown Bargersville will vote for their favorite holiday fence lighting section. Unlike other awards judged by a panel, this one reflects the voice of the public and celebrates the display that brings the most joy, excitement, or festive cheer to Downtown Bargersville. Voting will begin at 6:00pm on Friday, December 5 and conclude on Wednesday, December 10 at 11:59pm. Winners will be announced on December 12 along with the Merry & Bright Contest winners. The coveted Light the Line traveling trophy will be awarded to the winners at a Town Council meeting.
